friendship

Oh, I just had a great moment.
taking a walk in the summer-warm evening, having a cigarette (eventhough I stopped, but the cigarettes in Barcelona were so cheap..kind of)..and i called Lotten,
How I love this little woman of mine, called Lotten..my soulmate and one of my best friends, that I met in Taizé..

and now after we've spoken I just feel really happy inside and can't wait to see her.
and she's so cute, she told me she went and got a new passport yesterday, because her old one expires in December 2011, and she d if she will be back in sweden by then (now after she left france she's only staying for some weeks in sweden and then she'll take her backak, and go wherever she feels lik. what a wonderful thing!!)..so I will really try to move down to malmö soon, get a wellpaid job and go to latinameric,a and hopefully ill meet up with her there sometime

and also, we both can't wait to start our future community, the countryside-house with a huge garden and lots of art-projects!!!

life in France

I really don't have anything interesting to write so,
I'm gonna show you some pics from my stay in Taize.
For you who doesn't know, to explain it shortly,
Taize is a community close to Lyon,France.
There are about 100 brothers of Taize, really open, fun and intelligent brothers.
They welcome thousands & thousands of people every week on "the hill" (it's surrounded by green hills and vineyards, pretty amazing view!) , and people come from all over the world to spend 1 week in communion with other people, it's a pilgrimage om trust.
Some people stay longer as volunteers, they are called permanents, and I've been a permanent 3 times, this last time was the longest for me, 8 months, and it was a beautiful experience to live so close to other people in such a simple way. Relationships mean so much more when you live like this. you work, eat and live together, and you mean so much for people, and they mean so much for you.

for new years all the permanents went to Poznan, Poland, to prepare & attend the youth-meeting. we worked hard during the days, but every evening we used to meet in this Irish bar where they said that they made as much money as they usually do in one week, during three days, because of us.

ecological living

I'm way to tired and I should've gone to bed a long time ago but I'm just so excited!!!!
well, it's a long story , that I might tell you another day, but to make it short - me and my friend Lotten (that I met and lived with for 8 months in the community of Taizé) are planning to (after our studies in about 5 years) buy a house on the countryside in the south of europe (we said france probably), and start our own small community where we will be doing alot of farming but also keep doing our arts (clothes, paintings and pottery)..we'll have an atelier and a small shop..

well , first we planned to visit some communities around the world to get some more experiences. and I just found a list with thousands of different communities and eco-villages, and I can't take my eyes off of this list!! I just found a small holding in Portugal where I would love to volunteer for a while (Victoria, stick to your plans for once..you're gonna start you studies soon..)..

and THEN, I found a website for portuguese properties and they just have all of these BEAUTIFUL old countryside-houses with huge gardens wich would be perfect for our future community, and I just want to get it all started NOW!
