yet another picture, from wonderful jennifer, who came to visit me yesterday in the tattoo-studio..it was SO helpful to have people to talk to, instead of concentrating on the pain..

1 year
1 year ago, since I went back to Taizé..
1 year ago since I met one of the most important persons in my life, Rosa..
we both were kind of annoyed at eachother at first (well apparantly I was arrogant & she was boring)...little did we know that we'd become best friends..best best bestest!
today I made my tattoo dedicated to my grandmother, but it also has alot of Rosa in it since she's the one that drew it!
I'll try to get some pictures, and I'll show you later on!

TATTOO
okey..
It's finished! the tattoo I've been planning on doing for years!
It's a very important tattoo for me,
it's a tribute to my grandmother who passed away 2008, therefor the name Marianne..
and one of my best friends, Rosa, drew it for me. she is so talented!! I'm so happy her art will be on me forever :)

though the tattoo-artist changed a few small things, it's all in all pretty similar to the first drawing..
I'm thinking about changing the lower part of the scarf (the part with the bow-tie), to green instead of red..
and also the letters will probably be written with russian letters...it fits the style better, and nobody who can't read russian letters, will know what it says :)
I didn't want to put it on here first, cause I've seen people who've gotten their tattoos copied. But I ask everyone of you who see this, to leave it on this blog, or if you would ever get the idea of doing a similar one, do not copy this design. It means ALOT to me, and it's really personal..
so what do you think? please give me some feedback!
hopefully I'll do it in a couple of weeks, as soon as I have some more money

tattoo
bad blogging today.
but you must admit I've been getting better at blogging, and showing you photos and stuff, right?
anyway, had a long and utterly boring school-day..it's getting too confusing now, groupwork, homework, and examination all in a big mix! Luckily, I'm studying at Media, which means everyone in my class are really layed back and not too stressed to study..hmm
anyways, went to a tattooshop , basically the only one I wanted to get my tattoo at, to see what price they would take for my design ( i will show you, but don't want to put it out too soon, i want it to be unique)...anyway, they wanted even more than double of what I thought they would say, so I'm checking around for other options now..also It's quite big and the guy thought I might need 2 sessions. aargh! doesn't he know I have no patience whatsoever..i want things to be finished, and I want it now!
so do you guys have any extraordinary advice on good tattoo-shops in the south of sweden? or maybe in copenhagen?

russian doll

source: oh i don't remember the name of the blog!! sorry
Oh, also I got back at my thoughts about getting a new tattoo..well, I guess I won't have money to do that until..2013? aaaanyway,
Something that's been quite important for me, the times I've been thinking about future tattoos,(and for the one that I already got) is that they symbolize something for me, something that I can look at and remind myself of why I did it.
Then one time I realized I would love to do a babushka-tattoo (babushka - russian doll), I collect them.. well, "collect" them, (I have 2, the nice ones are so damn expensive!)..and I just love the colorful patterns and shapes, the job behind them. (apparantly they're supposed to stand for family & protection aswell)
That wasn't a reason good enough for me to do it though, and then I realized that babushka means something like grandmother or old lady in russian (?)..I always had a really close relationship to my grandmother who passed away 1½ years ago, and I want to get my babushka-tattoo and dedicate it to her..
So today I sent some pictures and inspiration to 2 of my best friends, Rosa & Lotten who are still in France. They are both the best artists I know of, and I would love to have something designed by a friend..
