oh, just realized I got the new ELLE decor today! gonna curl up in the armchair with a big cup of tea & the magazine

on thursday I'm off to my hometown to bring back all of my stuff, it's gonna be alot..for example 2 couches, which I have no idea where I will put...and loads, loads, loads of other stuff..I' so looking forward to sorting out the boxes I've filled since I was 14, I don't remember all the beautiful things I've collected ever since I was young, until I had my very own apartment..and now I do..

I'M LEAVING ON A TRAIN

wow, my apartment is so clean...that's a new experience, and I like it!
I've been cleaning for about 3 hours now, with Anja Schneider on high volume..
Had to make room for the new furniture and stuff that I'm bringing back from Linköping this weekend.

I'm actually looking forward to this weekend, there will be alot of sorting out up there, but what I'm looking forward to the most is, staying with my oldest friend (since we were 8) in her new apartment, then coming back with Emil,another friend who will help me drive the car down here and carry all the boxes and couches. some other friends are coming over to help aswell, and in the evening I'm gonna cook a dinner for them, and drink some wine, and just have a great night!

so maybe I won't be updating this blog for a few days, but hang in there..

just had a nice bath with olive-oil and honey,
don't now if it really did something for my skin, but at least it sounds nice, no?

I'm happy, just got an answer from my landlord, as I asked him if I could paint the cupboard-doors in my kitchen, and the answer was yes!...if I do it properly and no extreme colors..
weeeell, I'm not really the girl who does things properly, and well..I was kind of thinking about aqua/light urquoise doors..is that too extreme? I don't think so, it will be great!

also, I'm thinking about some new wallpaper for a wall in the kitchen, or maybe the wall behind my bed. and I just LOVE these kind of patterns..this one (on the top of this post) is Ljungbergs, by Sven Markelius, 1952 (I think)....it reminds me so much of my favourite pillow from IKEA, and some of the paintings I've been doing lately (will show you sometime)

does anybody know where I can find something similar, a bit cheaper, or maybe there is even somebody who could make one for me?

THE CUCKOO'S NEST

Last saturday after work, I was really tired..Lola(who was still here then) came and got me at work, and then we went home. I wasn't really motivated to have a party that night, cause I was really tired, and I knew my apartment was messy as usual..but when I stepped into the apartment, Lola had cleaned it up for me during the day, and I just realized once again how truly wonderful she is! I honestly can not think of a person who is nicer than her, there is not 1 % of evil in her body, she is all through 100% kind..

anyway, this is how my nest looks right now...a lack of lots of things, but at the same time I'm kind of complete..

again & again

working hard today..
went around town to get 2 things. came home with 15?!..
mostly food but also decor things, for example turquoise (of course!) decorationstickers for the tiles in the kitchen & bathroom..
but mostly I bought food/ingredients..felt all christmasy today so I'm now baing saffron-buns (typically swedish for st lucia & christmas..mm!).and I'm planning to bake 2 pies, maybe not both today, but in the near future..one with gorgonzola/broccoli & the other one, my grandmothers famous spinach & mushroom-pie...aaah, I feel like a housewife! I even cleaned a bit today!

THE APARTMENT

me & my amazing pillow!

had a seminare this morning, of courseI overslept..well, I didn't even oversleep, I just put the alarm one hour too late..but I managed to come after half of it, so atleast that's fine.
then this afternoon I've been walking around to different shops, supermarkets & thrift-stores looking for furniture, didn't find any. though bought a cheap (and probably shitty) vacuum-cleaner...and other things..like food.mmm..gonna make a cauliflower-soup tonight..with coconut-milk!!
oh, also got some baby-clothes for my spanish friend who is pregnant!! there were sooo many cute clothes..almost got some myself..well..for the future..


anyway, my camera doesn't work but I took some pictures with the webcam, just to show you a bit how it looks..at the moment I don't have alot of furniture, so it's quite empty, but I'm getting there!

went to IKEA to buy some things I need..which are still alot, but the list is getting smaller..
wow, I now have like 6 bags from IKEA at home..craziness!! well only 2 from this time..I really really really really really really really love the corner in the end where they put everything with reduced-prices..sometimes it's shitty, but you always find something. today it was paradise!! There were several of those beautiful blue patterned blankets I love. so I bought one, cause I already had one at home..and then some curtains I've been wanting but they were waaay to expensive...they were still kind of expensive, so i tried to make it look like there was only 1, but the cashier got me in the end..too bad haha

anyway, tried to count how many days are left until my next salary/students-loan...realized I got it today soooo..one month to go..yey

also. why is EVERYTHING I buy turquoise?! my faovourite color is aqua not turquoise, i HATE turquoise?!? whatever.

finally at home

tired. really tired,
in my arms, in my mind...
but happy now spending the first night of many,
in my new appartment. at home.
there are so many things I need to do, like put my clothes in the wardrobe, but how boring isn't that?!

and I even managed to drive that huge truck today, though it's snowing outside..hopefully we managed without any scratches on the car, cause then I'll have to pay 500 euros á scratch..yey..

but there are still so many things i'd like to get for the appartment..like my sofas from home..OR, my big, soft, dream couch that was GIVEN AWAY here in Malmö! why didn't I see it before we had the car today?!?!?! oh my..it was all big and chunky and perfect to sleep infront of the tv in..
the ones I've got at home are nice but either too small or too uncomfortable (though really nice in retrodesign)

gonna eat my leftover pizza..put some stuff in the shelf I managed to put together eventhough screws were missing and whatnot.

it's too dark now, but maybe tomorrow I can show you some pics from the webcam if you'd like? well you don't have a choice

I'm packing the last things..well, as much as I can. I hate when you have to leave stuff cause you need to use it in the morning or during the night or whatever...
it's snowing outside. alot...probably when I wake up tomorrow it will still be there, and more of it! yes, it's kind of cosy but couldn't it have waited for like..1 (ONE!) day more? I'm moving tomorrow & I need to drive that frickin' 5 m long van with all my things in it..

bought some christmas-decoration today, lights & stars and stuff...but really wanna have a real christmas-tree this year, my first christmas in my first appartment :) with my mom & one of my best friends...and loads of food..and games..and maybe a nice movie, and just pecae & love!

oh! I found Settlers of Catan!!! we used to play it when I was a volunteer in France, and I loved it sooooo much, it's addictive and it takes hours to play!! you ind of need to twin land, and build cities and houses and stuff...

I just want to have a really homy home, cosy and all so that everyone just wants to come and visit me all the time & eat freshly baked cookies & buns, & drink tea & play games & watch movies...

satisfied & tired because we spent some hours at IKEA buying stuff for my new place..ALOT of stuff..2 big blue ikea-bags , so full that things kept falling out..
mostly kitchen things like plates, glasses, forks, knifes, frying pans, etc..
everything is aqua-coloured! my favourite (ok actually it's turqouise, and i don't like turquoise but whatever)

looking forward to put everything on its right place, and start building my home!! :)

just came back from my appartment. my new appartment, only mine!!
it started out pretty bad, i met johanna cause she was gonna come look at it together with me..I had planned this little birthday-picnic-celebration with candles & cakes & I even brought the boiler to make some tea..

so, it was ice-cold and even snowing (!) a bit..we're outside the door and really excited...i try the key..nope, doesn't work. try the second key..no..the third key? nope..fuck..did he give me the wrong keys? and he didn't tell me the code..great..we stod there for like 15 min, hoping somebody would come..then!! there's a guy coming out from his car. he has keys!! hallelujah

I know they keys work for the other door (the one that is actually directly into my appartment), cause we used it when i was watching the appartment the first time..so..put the key in..nope..the other key..nah..third key..first no, it's hard, really hard, but then..it works, it kind of works!! and the door opens!!

i called the landlord, so now i have the right key for the firts door (which he apparantly had put in my letterbox but how was i supposed to get it without the key nor the code?)

anyway, we love my appartment..
i felt kind of like my mom though, inspecting some holes in the walls, and some broken/missing things..i want it to be perfect!

but it will be..it will feel like home..just need to get settled and get all of my things in there, and then my dream since about 7 years, is fulfilled..my own appartment

I can't even think right now, there's so much spinning around in my head..curtains, colours, beds, furniture, kitchen....wanna fix it all NOW! wanna have my stuff from Linköping, really need to get it down here..
you guys have no idea how happy I am, I've been dreaming of my own place since I was like 14, and I've already bought sooo much things...(like 2 couches, that I can't even fit in there right now haha)..oooh my gooosh!!

it's even a first-hand-contract, meaning, it's really mine and i can live there aslong as I want!!!

it's mine on friday, but need some time, money & friends who can help me..but sometime before 1 dec I'll move in there!! yabadaba dooo!!

ever wondered what my room looks like?
oh, i almost shouldnt show it here, cause at the moment I'm just renting a room in an appartment with 1 other girl (actually 2 , but one studies in Stockholm and isnt here very often)..anyway, most furniture are my friend's, cause i couldn't be bothered to bring everything down from Linköping when I moved..but I'm desperately (not really, but kind of) looking for my own appartment now, and would decorate it really differently from what it looks like here right now..

but i quite like it anyway
